Hayes Pipe Supply, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a local delivery driver in our Murfreesboro, Tennessee branch.

We are looking for a career-minded individual seeking a long-term opportunity with a growth-oriented company.  Experience in a waterworks, plumbing or construction industry is a plus. This position would include local deliveries to our customer job sites, loading/unloading trucks, and assisting customers in the warehouse.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

·         Local deliveries to customer job sites which may also include unloading, ensuring accurate delivery of product and ticket with material.

·         Maintain vehicle logs and bills of lading

·         Report any accidents or traffic violations; report any vehicle damage or defects before and after scheduled route.

·         Load trucks with daily deliveries; unload product at customer sites.

·         Plans route to and from customer sites

·         Work inside warehouse during downtime; assisting customers, receiving, stocking, etc.


Requirements:

·         Driving experience with flatbed/strapped material

·         Valid Class B CDL

·         Ability to lift at least 50lbs

·         Tow motor/fork-lift experience a plus

Essential duties:

  • Responsible for the overall performance & development of both assigned and newly acquired accounts
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by maintaining sales contacts and calling on customers
